How often should a routine blood test be done when on seizure medications?

It is best to get a blood and urine assessment done when drug doses are changed after a period of time or when the medication is first started.

Is medication the only way to manage a seizure episode ?

Seizure medications are effective in controlling seizure episodes, but not always to the maximum extent. There are no other ways to control seizures other than through medications. Infantile spasms may not be effectively regulated through seizure medications. For such cases a Ketogenic diet protocol is advised for seizure control.
