Scoliosis or abnormal curvature of the spine can occur as a child with CP grows older.A child with CP with inadequate movement of his/her muscles can run the risk of developing contractures i.e. hardening of muscles, tendons that causes deformity of joints. A child with CP can have problems with the spine and limbs and exhibit loss of mobility with age.
